The Best Restaurant Apps to Use in Spain

The world is becoming increasingly digitalised, and thanks to the desire to be contactless in the light of the coronavirus pandemic, there is now an app for almost everything. From booking a taxi to ordering your shopping, if you need it then ‘there’s an app for that!’. And this is now also true of booking a table at your favourite restaurant.

Spain is famed for its delicious and hearty cuisine. Almost every town and village will boast a selection of high-quality restaurants for you to choose from. Thanks to the new wave of modern restaurant apps you can view menus, read reviews, and make reservations, all from the comfort of your phone. Meaning you don’t even have to leave the house (until you’re ready to eat, of course). Here are some of the best restaurants app to download and use when you’re in Spain:

Foursquare

Foursquare is a handy app to use because it is a global brand, meaning that you can use it when you’re in Spain, the UK, or anywhere else in the world. It utilises geolocation, meaning that it will be able to show you the best restaurants that are close to exactly where you are. You can filter your search results based on the type of food you’re looking for, as well as the type of service offered. What’s more, when you pull up a restaurants page, you will pull up its reviews too.

Barcelona Restaurantes

This app is as niche as the name suggests: it is an app specifically to help you find restaurants in Barcelona.  There are currently 170 restaurants in the city registered to use the app, and you can search all of these restaurants based on their area, price range, and the types of food they offer. Once you’ve found the restaurant you want to eat at, you can pull up the location and share it with your contacts too.
