No matter what your hobbies, we’re sure that the Costa del Sol is the place to be. And to prove it, here is your comprehensive guide to the events you can enjoy on the Costa del Sol for the rest of summer 2022:  

MAY 

15th April – 22nd May – Festival Marbella Todo Danza  
Celebrating everything important about dance, and taking place over International Dance Day, the Festival Marbella Todo Danza incorporates both dance performances as well as dance workshops, and the aim is to encourage individuals of all ages to dance. Expect to see dancers such as Sara Cano, Manuel Liñán, Marcat Dance, Malpelo, José Carlos Martínez, Isabel Vázquez, Paloma Hurtado, ColectivoLamajara, Baal, Bum Creaciones-Ararí Danza, Natalia Tapia and more in attendance 

2nd May – 15th May – Cordoba Patio Festival

 This fascinating festival is so unique that it has been awarded UNESCO World Heritage status, and it attracts visitors from all over the world.  The residents of Cordoba open up their patios and courtyard gardens so that visitors can enjoy the traditional floral displays. Even if you have little interest in floristry, it’s a wonderful day out with live music and dancing continuing the event into the evening. The whole community takes part, lending a wonderful community feel, and it is a great thing to be a part of. 

8th May - Fiesta de la Cachorreña, Alhaurín el Grande. 
This is a fun food festival that delights in showcasing the local artisan produce and products that are local to the Costa del Sol. Some delicious examples include honey, figs, and cheese. When you’ve eaten your fill, other highlights of the fiesta include a classic car show and local lace making master classes. The event is considered to be an Event of Provincial Tourist Interest.  

15th May - San Isidro Day in Estepona 
This is one of the biggest and most popular festivals in Estepona, and celebrates the towns patron saint. Expect music, dancing and a riot of colour 

21st May - II Cxm El Fraile de Algatocín 
Keen cyclists will be interested to know that II Cxm El Fraile de Algatocín is a trail race that starts at Alameda de Andalucía, and offers two routes and race distances, depending on your level of experience. Both offer excellent views of the Costa del Sol and are a unique, unforgettable way to see the region.  

21st May - Run for Ukraine  
If you prefer running to cycling, and you’d like to run for a good cause, then head to Manilvaan take part in an 8km run to raise money for the Ukraine. The race is open to runners of all ages and abilities.  

JUNE 

30th May – 5th June – Gay Pride Week

 Torremolinos Pride week is a huge focus for the LGBTQ community and their allies in the Costa del Sol. The week comprises of a march through the town, exhibitis, concerts, and a whole host of other fun events. Music and dancing only add the fun, festival feel of the event. 

3rd June – Rufus T. Firefly 
Creating an atmosphere of rock and roll magic, this up and coming entertainer and his band have already caused quite a stir in their home country. Tickets start from 20 euros per person and are highly recommended.  

4th June – Fuengirola Comic Con 
Comic Con Fuengirola is a convention about the world of comics, science fiction, series, films and all the oriental currents of anime, k-pop and cosplay. This is a fun event for the whole family, with tickets available from just 18euros each.

5th June – Simply Red in Concert 
Held at the Marenostrum Complex in Fuengirola, this will be a must-have ticket for fans of the legendary British soul group. Tickets start from 55 euros per person.  

10th June – Rauw Alejandro 
On of the biggest artists of 2022, Rauw Alejandro is only playing one date in Andalusia in 2022, and this is it! Rauw is considered one of the world’s greatest Latin pop artists. Tickets start from 39 euros and are expected to sell out fast.  

11th June - Pasión Vega 
Offering a tribute to Latin music and folklore, Pasión Vega is a concert that will create a sound journey that will move your heart and your feet. Tickets start from 38.50 euros per person.  

11th June - 3rd September  - Starlite Catalana Occidento

Starlite Catalana Occidente pitches itself as the best boutique festival in Europe and with over 50 days of concerts it is certainly one of the longest. The great thing about this festival is that you can pick and choose the dates of your next visit to the Costa del Sol to ensure that your favourite act will be in town. With so many different musical styles and genres covered, this festival really does offer something for everyone.  

14th – 16th June - Malaga Digital Enterprise Show  
This international event will see directors and professionals from over 50 countries come together to share their knowledge and skills, and is a great place to explore digital innovation, and find out more about digital ways of doing business. If you’re a fan of high tech, you’ll also find it a lot of fun!

17th June – God Save the Queen 
Whilst it’s no longer possible to head out and see Queen on tour, thanks to God Save the Queen we’ve got the next best thing! This incredible tribute act will be performing as part of the Starlite Catalana Occidente event.  
 
20th – 22nd June – CM Malaga  
Another international show event, CM Malaga is a Culture & Museums International Tech Forum. It is a fun and interesting event that is open to everyone, and is a great opportunity to see how technology is enhancing the Spanish museum sector.  

22nd June – Jason Derulo 
As part of the Starlite Catalana Occidente festival, fans will have the opportunity to see American music sensation Jason Derulo perform live. Considered one of the best modern performers in the pop and urban genres, this is an opportunity not to be missed.  

25th June – Marc Anthony 
After completing a tour of North America, MarcAnthony's "Pa'lla Voy" tour will finally arrive in Spanish territory with his well-deserved party and his great repertoire. Tickets start from 60 Euros.  
 
JULY

6th July – Diana Ross 
International music sensation and all round legend Diana Ross will be performing in Andalusia in a ‘can’t be missed’ concert. This will be her only date in Spain this year, so tickets are expected to sell out fast.  

8th July – Il Divo 
Classical music fans will be pleased to know that the modern poster boys for the genre are returning to Spain. Often referred to as the first classical music crossover group, expect a night of fun and unforgettable magic.  

9th July – Melendi 
Bringing his ‘likes and scars’ tour to Andalusia, Melendi will offer a high end of pop tunes that are achieving chart success around the world. Tickets start from 35 euros per person.  

14th July – Rosalia 
In a show entitled the ‘Motomama world tour’, the winner of eight grammy awards and one latingrammy award is bringing her first ever world tour to Spain. This is sure to be a fun show, representing all that is new and exciting in pop music.  

16th July – Fair of the Virgin Del Carmen  
Virgin del Carmen is the patron saint of sailors, so on this day the neighborhood of La Carihuela  becomes the nerve center of Torremolinos. A procession and mass in honour of the Virgin del Carmen starts the day, whilst the event finishes with food, singing, and other entertainment. It is both a fun and emotional spectacle that should certainly be enjoyed if you’re in the Costa del Sol on this date.  

22nd –23rd July - (R)Onda Cool Fest  
Founded to give visibility to up and coming music groups, this festival will be held over two days in the town of Ronda. Offering affordable entry prices of just 37 euros per ticket, this is a great entry-level festival, and a great way to spend a day listening to new sounds and soaking up the local atmosphere. The (R)Onda Cool Fest has been nominated for seven awards at the Iberian Festival Awards (Best Festival, Best New Festival, Best Venue, Best Performance, Best Festival Photo, Best Media Partner and Contribution to Sustainability). 

22nd  - 24th July – Gamepolis 2022 
Gamers unite, because Malaga’s Gamepolis is one of the biggest and best gaming events in Spain. Dedicated to all things video games, the fair will attract influencers, streamers, gamers and pros operating in the sector. The event features a huge programme, with so many activities to choose from no matter what kind of gaming you’re into.

25th July – Christina Aguilera  
One of the biggest pop acts of the ‘90s and now star of Las Vegas, few pop artists are as famous as Christina. Now she is back on tour and bringing her unique brand of magic to Spain. This is the first time that the star has performed on a Spanish stage in over 18 years.

29th July – Simple Minds  
Legendary Scottish rock band Simple Minds first played at the StarLite festival in 2012, and now they are back again to bring their unique brand of rock energy to the southern Spanish summer. This is a show that really shouldn’t be missed.  

29th July – Texas 
British band Texas will appear live on stage in Fuengirola as part of their Cabaret festival this month, as part of a tour to commemorate the band’s 30th anniversary. Tickets start from 45 euros per person.  
 
AUGUST 

4th August – Passenger 
Mike Rosenberg, aka Passenger, is a multi-award winning, platinum-selling singer-songwriter from Brighton, England. Although he started his career as a busker, he is now selling out stadiums across Europe, and we are excited that he is performing in Andalusia this summer!  

5th August – Crazy About Music Festival, Fuengirola  
Taking place on the Sohail Castle stage, the “Crazy about Music” festival is a one-day event featuring four hours of non-stop music from the local area. Artists performing include Social Security, Los Toreros con Chanclas, No Me Pises Que LlevoChanclas, OBK, and Taxi. Tickets start from 30 euros per person.

8th August – Morat 

Four-piece Morat are one of the most successful Latin American pop groups of our time, so it is a true honour to welcome the group to Andalucia. Expect a high octane performance, filled with plenty of excitement and surprises.

13th August – Beret and James Lorente 
International music sensation Beret will be accompanied by singer James Lorente to create an unforgettable musical experience. Tickets start from 29.90 euros per person.  

20th August – Ultra Beach Costa Del Sol  
Ultra Beach Costa del Sol is the latest spin-off from the ‘ultra’ brand of music festivals and the first to take place on the Mediterranean. This event is set to be Europe’s largest electronic music festival, and will be an important day for fans of the genre.   
 
26th August – Juan Amodeo  
In a show entitled Avangelio, Jan Amodeo will make you question the world around you, and every fact that you believe to be true. An interesting, and thought-provoking concept that is sure to leave you talking and asking more questions than every before. Tickets start from 20 euros per person.  
 
SEPTEMBER

1st-3rd September - La Cala De Mijas Music Festival
If you want to enjoy great music without travelling a great distance, then consider the Cala Mijas music festival will take place in Cala Mijas between 1-3 September 2022. An exceptional line up has already been announced, featuring internationally acclaimed artists such as the Artic Monkeys and Liam Gallagher who will be headlining the event. Other notable performers attending the event include Kraftwerk, Blossoms, and Bonobo. Tickets are already available, either for the day of for the whole weekend, with a ticket to the whole three-day event costing 139 euros.

If you’re not local to the Costa del Sol then you can turn your trip into a holiday, as camping packages are available at the event. Affordable camping spots are available for 25 euros for the whole event (simply bring your own tent and choose a set up that best suits you), alternatively, glamping packages are also available where everything is done for you: all you need to bring is yourself! Cala Mijas is a beautiful cove offering an old-style town full of rustic charm and a huge expanse of sandy beach: ideal for combining a passion for music with a beach-front holiday.

16th September – Aitana  
Aitana is bringing her 11 Reasons plus tour to Andalusia. This show will only take place in 6 stadiums across the country, and this show will be the last chance to see if before it is retired. Don’t miss out!  

28th September – 4th October - Feria de San Miguel 
The Feria de San Miguel is a traditional fair held in the province of Ubeda. This is considered the most important urban pilgrimage in Andalusia, and the fair is a riot of colour and fun. Typically involving a religious parade during the daytime, in the evening you will find dancing, food, and traditional entertainment.  
 
OCTOBER  

28th September – 4th October - Feria de San Miguel 
The Feria de San Miguel is a traditional fair held in the province of Ubeda. This is considered the most important urban pilgrimage in Andalusia, and the fair is a riot of colour and fun. Typically involving a religious parade during the daytime, in the evening you will find dancing, food, and traditional entertainment.
